On May 3rd, 2008, the Masai Centre and the AIDS Committee of Guelph & Wellington County (ACG) will host their third Red Ribbon Gala at the Italian Canadian Club, a joint fundraising event that will raise funds for the Centre, the ACG and the Tsepong clinic in Lesotho.
Previous galas (photos) have sold out within two weeks and combined, have raised over $90,000. This year, our goal is to raise $50,000 and reach the $1 million target for our Africa Campaign on the evening of May 3rd. If we succeed, this community will have accomplished something no other city this size has ever done. It is our hope, that our third gala will be a night of celebration and triumph for the city of Guelph.
The highlight of the evening will be our annual live and silent auction; filled with art of all kinds and various donations of other goods and services. Along with our auction will be a reception/viewing hour, a sumptuous dinner feast and live musical entertainment.
