100k for the United Way
Background:
Our executive director Tom Hammond has been selected as one of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics Carry the Torch Relay participants. Tom decided to run to support our agency's vision:
We dream of a time and place where everyone is free to live healthy, vital lives
and to combat HIV and AIDS stigma and discrimination throughout our community.
2009 United Way Campaign
Every year, we take part in the United Way Campaign. For this year's campaign, we thought we could incorporate Tom's goal of combating HIV and AIDS stigma and discrimination. Tom has decided to train for his torch run by running a total of 100km between October 26th and December 29th (the day he will run with the torch).
